HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU'VE SEEN IT ALL!

A few weeks ago I was standing talking to my husband in his office when I looked out the window and noticed this car stopped on the road and a women getting out.

We thought she was broke down . She walked in front of her car which is parked on a very bad curve picked up a dead animal that was laying on the road and was getting ready to throw it in our yard. My husband quickly yelled out the window and ask her what she was doing and to please not throw the animal in the yard. So she picked it up and threw it in the woods. She said she did not want the buzzard to get hit by a car while trying to eat the animal. How often do you see a buzzard dead on the road?
She got in her car which was still parked on the road holding up traffic.

Well, today we were driving up Rt 48 and we saw someone running towards us on the road waving their hands and yelling . We thought someone was hurt really bad ahead because there was a car pulled over to the side of the road. The closer we got we realized it was the same women trying to save a tiny turtle. She picked up the turtle and put it in the field. I could hardly believe what I was seeing.We are really mixed up in this country! I don't like to see any animal get hurt but I am not about to risk my life or cause an accident to save an animal.
Someone was just telling me about a situation in a grocery store where a lady fell and not one person stopped to help her. They just kept walking out around her.

What is this world coming too?

THIS IS NOT MY FAVORITE PLACE!

We are breeding and raising racing pigeons. We have been training them for the last couple of weeks. They start out being let go from about 7 miles and then work their way up. Today I took them for 22 miles and the perfect place that my husband found was in a cemetery in Kentucky. So he got permission for me to let them go and I took them on my way to work and drove to the very top of this beautiful cemetery (You know you are getting older when you start noticing that a cemetery is beautiful:) ) Anyhow I let 21 birds go and so far all but 2 have returned home. The other two will probably come in later. Well that was my excitement for the Morning commute. HAVE A GREAT DAY!

UP AND DOWN

WE SPENT PART OF THE NIGHT GETTING UP AND GOING DOWN TO THE BASEMENT!
THE FIRST SIREN WENT OFF AND WE LOOKED OUT OUR PATIO DOOR AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A FUNNEL CLOUD THIS BIG COMING TOWARDS OUR HOUSE. WE RAN TO THE BASEMENT AND PRAYED! IT STARTED TO HAIL AND LIGHTENING CARL WENT UPSTAIRS TO CHECK IT OUT AND APPARENTLY IT MOVED TO THE SOUTH AND DID NOT TOUCH DOWN. PRAISE THE LORD!

WE LAUGHED! WE CRIED!

On Mother's Day at church we always do something special for our Mom's. This year we interviewed the children and put it on a CD to play for the Mom's. Rob Ryan did an awesome job interviewing the kids. We also played a message from Brent Becker wishing his Mom a Happy Mother's Day from Afghanistan. There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd!
